Gamebattle
Tagged.nl recently launched the new game platform "GameBattle" (http://www.gamebattle.nl). GameBattle gives consumers the possibility to sharpen their minds and test their skills by playing game battles.
Consumers can play for free and can play for money. Subscribers always play against each other; All games at GameBattle are Skill Games and belong to the most popular games on the internet (like diamond runner, mah jong, solitaire, word puzzles, pacman etc). Chance and luck are of no influence; skill is the only thing that matters. GameBattle grows every week. At this moment you can play more then 15 different games and arcade classics.
As a newcomer GameBattle aims to open new markets and steel some share from "old school platforms" like worldwinner.com, skilljam.com and king.com. The European operation is started in The Netherlands. Within the coming months there will be versions available in English, German, French and Spanish.

Business model, subscribers and turnover
The business model is simple: a vast portion of the subscibers buys "credits". With these credits they can play for money against other subscribers. When a player starts a battle 20% of the money at stake is charged as battle fee. Free players can generate advertising income by showing them an ad before a game starts.
Used Marketing Methods
The GameBattle platform is marketed in two ways:
- Affiliate Partners: webmasters, mail list owners and direct marketing companies are offered a vast portion of the revenues they generate when they promote the platform.
- Co-branded GameBattle sites: high traffic websites (news sites, communities, game portals) are offered a co-branded ore white label version of GameBattle.
